Jen Wood Photography bio picture

Hi ...

A little about me: I am completely in love with my sweet husband (Jeff), our beautiful daughter (London), our dogs (Jack and Morgan), and our life.  My other loves (in no particular order): family, spending time with great friends, warm socks, hot baths, traveling, camping, campfires, the great outdoors, autumn, being out on the lake, fishing (when we're catching something), 80s music, my girl's sweet and contagious smile, wine, my own caesar salads, laughing and then laughing some more. I am genuine. I am sentimental, often to the point of total sappiness. I am passionate about photography and have been for over 30 years (wow, maybe that dates me a little).

It is my hope to not only share with you some of the work that I'm doing and show off my awesome clients, but also to let you into my life just a little.  It's hard for me to find time to work on personal things when there is real work to be done, but I'm going to try ... really, I am.

So, sit back and peruse these pages.  If you see something you like, please leave a comment. Who doesn't like a little blog love?  If you'd like to be notified when something new has been added, please feel free to subscribe to the blog (RSS or email) above.  Thanks for stopping by!

Ok, well you can’t live in Nashville and not notice the musicians.  I REALLY can’t, I’m married to one 🙂   People come from all over the world with big dreams of making it in the music industry.  Obviously, country music is king here.  Sadly, many people end up returning home, those dreams up in smoke – now just a memory.  And then there are the rest …

Meet Stacy.  Stacy is one of those I believe will be around here a while and most surely will make her impact on this city and beyond (tribute there to Buzz Lightyear).   What an amazing voice!  She and Jeff (my husband) do a lot of writing together and will be playing out a lot more in the near future.  Recently, they had an opportunity to play an outdoor concert for a local fundraiser.  This was Stacy’s first time playing out with a guitar.  Don’t misunderstand, she sings out plenty all around town, but this is the first time she’s played the guitar while doing it.  I told her I’d grab a few shots.  She HAD to have evidence of her first time.  She looks like such a natural, like she’s been behind that guitar forever.   Here are a couple of my favorites:  (That’s Jeff with her in the third shot).

To hear that voice and find out more about Stacy, visit  You really should check it out.  She’s fabulous 🙂

- Lynn Jaksa - That first image is just gorgeous! And thanks for introducing me to a great singer - just checked out her website - it rocks! ++

- Beth Crook - Beautiful voice! And love those photos! She'll be so happy that you captured her during this time in her life...and one day you can say "I knew her when..." ;) ++

- pic41 - Shot #2 is great! I love that it captured the emotion of the musician so well. Great cropping on the image too.++

- Laura Siivola - These are so soulful! I mean you can just feel the emotion coming from these images. Very moving! ++ Laura :0)
