Get a load of this little guy. Meet Jonathan … oh my goodness, what a little dollface! Seriously! He’s lucky I was going to have my hands full with our own new addition or I likely would have taken him home with me. Here’s Jonathan …

to my blogsite ... blog and website all rolled into one. I'm being a little crazy here straying from the traditional website AND blog, but I found that when I had both I was directing people to the blog way more often than the gallery site. Plus, I never, and I mean NEVER, updated the main site. This way, everything's always updated and you only have to go to one place. No more switching back and forth. That's just for you (ok ... and a little for me).
A little about me: I am completely in love with my sweet husband (Jeff), our beautiful daughter (London), our dogs (Jack and Morgan), and our life. My other loves (in no particular order): family, spending time with great friends, warm socks, hot baths, traveling, camping, campfires, the great outdoors, autumn, being out on the lake, fishing (when we're catching something), 80s music, my baby's sweet and contagious smile, wine, my own caesar salads, laughing and then laughing some more. I am genuine. I am sentimental, often to the point of total sappiness. I am passionate about photography and have been for nearly 25 years.
It is my hope to not only share with you some of the work that I'm doing and show off my awesome clients, but also to let you into my life just a little. It's hard for me to find time to work on personal things when there is real work to be done, but I'm going to try ... really, I am.
So, sit back and peruse these pages. If you see something you like, please leave a comment. Who doesn't like a little blog love? If you'd like to be notified when something new has been added, please feel free to subscribe to the blog (RSS or email) above. Thanks for stopping by!

April 19, 2010 - 9:27 am - Love the one with the antique chest! Beautiful work!
Well, she’s finally here! Meet London … the newest member of our family and reason for me being so absent from this blog as of late. Our sweet baby girl was born January 28th … 7 lbs. 2 oz., 19 1/2 inches long.
She has managed, in the span of just over 6 weeks, to wrap her daddy and me around her tiny little fingers. Jeff and I are completely in love with this little girl! Her sweet face will grace this blog on occasion, so allow me to introduce to you … London Jillian …

We’ve decided we’re gonna keep her

I met up with the Webb family at Nashville’s old Marathon Motor Works building … an early automobile manufacturer at the turn of the Twentieth Century. The building, which now houses offices and studios, was originally built as a cotton mill in the late 1800s. Such a cool old place! Anyway, I borrowed a friend’s studio who has space there and had access to some other parts of the building. I was in love with all the brick and huge windows. It was fabulous … a little cold even inside … but fabulous.
So, the Webb family … well, they were fabulous themselves! What a seriously fun family! We had such a fun afternoon. Most of the clan was visiting from Texas. Anyway … here’s the fam (a pretty darn good looking bunch):

January 27, 2010 - 12:46 pm - Beautiful pictures of the Webb Family. I love them all!
January 27, 2010 - 9:44 pm - Absolutely great pictures of the Webb's! Terrific Job!
January 30, 2010 - 6:50 pm - BEAUTIFUL Job!! Your work amazes me every time!
Cat’s name was drawn out of the blue bucket last night and is the winner of the free portrait session!
Last night Nashville Paw Magazine held an awesome party … the 3rd Annual Art for Animals, an art gallery show and auction, while the HA Gallery played host to the event. Proceeds from the auction go to support Fix For Life, a low cost spay and neuter clinic. Jen Wood Photography was proud to be the main sponsor of the event and we had a drawing for a free portrait session.
Congratulations, Cat!
November 20, 2009 - 5:30 pm - WOOHOO!!! WOW - WOW - WOW! how cool is that - THANKS SO MUCH JEN! I will be in touch - WOOHOOOOOOOOO!!
Wasn’t it just yesterday this beautiful girl was 5? This is my niece, Kayli, who is in her senior year in high school. CRAZY! She lives in Florida with her family so we don’t get to see them all that often … once, maybe twice a year if we’re lucky. They seem to grow up more quickly that way … every time we see them, they’re obviously older. Anyway, they came to visit before school started up (yes, I’m a little late getting these online) and we shot her senior pictures. The session started well …

But then out came the hat! It was a completely different session from here on out. Girl can rock a cowboy hat!

Kayli – I’m glad we didn’t forget that hat
